Singer, songwriter and eclectic guitar player Octavio Baratucci takes the spotlight with the release of his first solo album, „Marginal“.

The lyrics, written by himself, are sung by his particular and bittersweet voice. The album takes on an approach ranging from simple, everyday situations to a panorama of society – both historically and up-to-date.

The tracks include a seaside candombe (Candombe Marplatense), that takes us to a teenager’s days and anecdotes in the emblematic coastal city of Mar del Plata; Crónicas del Flaco, that tells the story of a suburban young character, and Apedreada Buenos Aires, a modern farce (sainete) that describes what happened in the capital city of Argentina in December 2001 with an electroacoustic tango sound.

If variety is the spice of life, Barattucci’s first solo album „Marginal“ will undoubtedly captivate the audience due to its diverse proposal. After a decade of concerts as guitar player, singer, arranger and producer of different groups such as La Coyunta, Indio Lunar and Piaste Tango, Barattucci unfolds his devotion to songcraft and at the same time executes his own lyrics filled with heterogeneous elements of rhythm, sound and harmony.

During the last years he has made concert tours in Argentina, Spain, France, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria, Sweden, Portugal, Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg, Holland and Switzerland.
