Fundamentum is the debut album of the bassist Antoine Brochot. He symbolically lays the first phonographic stone of his original universe. Fundamentum also speaks of the deep rooting between humans and Earth, which is increasingly lacking in our modern societies. The music refers to different earth elements, sources of life and energy.

Claiming jazz with some hip-hop and pop accents, the project is partly inspired by the current New York jazz scene. The music is resolutely turned towards improvisation and interaction. The different protagonists each find a place of choice in arrangements that are sometimes meditative, sometimes sulphurous.
